A beast for my Spurs team, got him on loan and then activated his released clause. He had 27 assists in the premier league and 9 goals. He made Lamela expendable, amazing player for me.

No, I just bought him straight for 2.5M no addons, that was his release clause

I’ve checked again and its right. It displays it when you offer the contract. It won’t mention the addons when you view the transfer in history as those addons may not come into effect.

the best player for me in fm15, scores amazing amount of goals, and mine has 20 pace 20 strength, that’s a lot for any defence to handle

Using logic its obvious he has signed a new contract in your save. He doesn’t have a release clause in the beginning, you can approach to sign him for compensation.
