There will be fireworks when Liverpool and Manchester City lock horns in the Premier League derby at Anfield. The Reds survived Nottingham Forest at the weekend, with substitute Darwin Nunez scoring the winner deep into the stoppage time, but Jurgen Klopp’s men will have a much bigger fish to fry against Erling Haaland and Co. Nunez is pushing for a recall to the starting XI, while Mo Salah is racing to be fit for Sunday’s showdown. Fit-again midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai should be recalled to the starting XI as well.

The Citizens, on the other hand, came from behind to beat Man United 3-1 in the Manchester derby, but seeing that Liverpool are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we are tempted to put our money on draw this time out

Prediction: 2-2 (draw)

While historically seen as living in the shadow of their more successful neighbors, Manchester United, the Sky Blues began a phenomenal ascent in the late 2000s, which saw them snatch four Premier League titles between 2012 and 2020. In the manager's seat, Pep Guardiola has been key to this resurgence, bringing the club up to par with Europe's elite.

Despite the ups and downs over the years, the resilience of Manchester City has yielded fruitful rewards. They have amassed an impressive number of trophies, including 7 FA Cups and 6 EFL Cup titles, as of 2021. Their winning spirit continues to be a blazing testament of grandeur in the football world.
