Hello my dear friends, time for the announcement I was talking about yesterday. Most of you know that this blog has been around for a year now, I started it on the 28th of December 2008. I’m very thankful to all of you for what it became today, a popular blog with a great community of readers. That is why I’m constantly thinking about how to improve it and give you more interesting features.
OK, I guess that’s enough for an introduction, let me tell you what will happen here starting… now!
Hello Friends and welcome to the next installment of my Swindon story.
The first game of September was a trip to the Midlands to face Aston Villa which is probably our biggest opponent since facing Chelsea in the cup last season. Although the stats say one thing about this game the score line reflects the true story with Villa running us ragged for most of the game We fell behind in the first 15 minutes after allowing Gignac too much time and space to put the home side ahead. Although we …
Hello everyone, welcome back to my Liverpool story. At the end of February we were sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League and had secured a 1-1 draw away at Inter Milan, in the first leg of our Champions League Knockout tie.
The first game of the month was at home to Tottenham, a tricky side with some good players. We started off quite well and went ahead early when Benoit Assou-Ekotto scored a freakish own goal after some good build up play by Sanchez. The match continued evenly, …
Hello Readers and welcome to the latest chapter in my Swindon Town story which sees us begin life in the Premier League.
Our first game of the season was a trip to Goodison Park to face Coca Cola Champions Everton who we knew from last season to be a very strong team. We got off to an encouraging start with Fleck picking up a loose ball in midfield and launching a thunderous shot that hit the bar after only 40 seconds. That got our tails up and some nice interchanges between …
Hello folks and thanks for coming back to read the stories on this website. Here we go, another episode of the Notts County story is ready to be told, I was quite impatient to play the games in November and now I’m eager to share the experience with you. We were in 2nd place at the end of October, right behind Manchester United but with two games in hand! Things were looking good for us but we had to keep it up in order to stay in the top spots of the table.
Hello everyone, welcome back to my Liverpool story. Sorry for the slightly longer delay than usual, but I have been very busy recently. Anyway, on with the story. We had six fixtures to play in February, the major game of the month was the Champions League Knockout Stage game against Inter, away.
The first game of the month was away at Bolton. We got off to a great start when Gerrard fired in from 25 yards, and Gignac followed that up by tucking away in the fifth minute, to make it …
Hello Everyone and welcome back to the next installment of my Swindon Town story. We left off last time with Swindon winning the play off final and being promoted to the Barclays Premier League.
Following our momentous victory over Crystal Palace we all took a well earned break for a couple of weeks. My Assistant Manager Peter Shirtliff and I had our eyes on some players whose contracts were expiring for our venture into the Premier League but we knew we couldn’t approach anyone due to the boards’ salary restrictions. Peter …
Hello my friends, welcome back to my Football Manager 2010 story! My Notts County have been quite impressing in the first two months of the season, we were still unbeaten in the Premier League and we also got off to a good start in the Europa League. The most difficult games were still ahead of us though, the tough games that we had to play in October were supposed to give everybody a better idea about the real strength of the team.
Here we go again fellow Football Manager fanatics, a new update to the Notts County story is packed and ready to go. Our second Premier League season started pretty well, the new signings seemed to add just what the team didn’t have last year, a more confident defense and a much better conversion ratio for the attacking chances. We also qualified for the group stage of the Europa League, the club was entering a whole new era. It was still too early to draw any conclusions, too many tough games were still ahead of us.
