Brighton will be aiming to build on the FA Cup win over Stoke when they take on Wolverhampton in the Premier League round 12. The Seagulls want to move closer to the Europa League berth and they are surely capable of beating the Wolves on home soil. Both Kaoru Mitoma and Simon Adingra are on international duty, while the likes of Igor, Joel Veltman, Tariq Lamptey, Ansu Fati, Solly March, and Julio Enciso should miss out with injuries.

Wolverhampton, on the other hand, are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win, but seeing that they head into Monday’s clash with a severely-weakened squad, home win should be considered. All Rayan Ait Nouri, Boubacar Traore, Hee-Chan Hwang, and Justin Hubner are on international duty, while midfielder Joao Gomes is banned for the match. In their last meeting at Amex Stadium Brighton rolled over Wolves 6-0.

Prediction: 3-1 (Brighton)

In this article, we dive deeper into the club origins, notable seasons, and key players of Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Birth and Rise of Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion Football club, fondly referred to as 'the Seagulls', was conceived in 1901. The team's illustrious journey began at the Southern league before the Albion was elected to the Football League in 1920. Over the past century, the team battled its way through numerous divisions, finally securing a spot in England's top-tier league, the Premier League, in 2017. From the early days in the Goldstone Ground to the modern Amex Stadium, Albion's history is decorated with numerous ups and downs, making their journey a unique one.

Key Players and Unforgettable Moments for the Seagulls

Players like Peter Ward, Bobby Zamora, and Glenn Murray made significant contributions to the club’s history. Ward was especially known for his incredible goal-scoring prowess during the 1970s. Influential and highly successful, these players ingrained their names into the Seagulls' rich history. Over the years, Brighton & Hove Albion has been the stage for several unforgettable football moments - one of the most notable being their run to the FA Cup final in 1983.
