Notts County May 2013

Hello my friends and welcome to the last update of the season! We’re finally there, it’s been quite a nice journey so far. Thanks to The Ziggy’s analytical skills I found out that our Europa League place was not in danger even if we finished 7th because Liverpool and Man United were playing the FA Cup final. So the last three games were just a matter of pride, we could finish anywhere from 5th to 7th and I wanted my lads to do their best to finish as high as possible.

Notts County April 2013 - One Step Closer

Well, there isn’t much left of the season, is there? Welcome back to the Notts County story my friends, we had six more games to play and we were up in 5th place at the end of March! Arsenal were right behind us though with two games in hand, so I can say that our “real” position was 6th. Anyway, we had to earn enough points to hold on to that 6th spot…

The Notts County Story - March 2013

Hello my friends, we’re getting closer to the end of my first Premier League season with Notts County, thank you for the fantastic support you’ve shown so far. We were lying in 6th place at the end of February, so we still had a good chance of grabbing an Europa League ticket at the end of the season. We had to rack up some more points though, Liverpool were behind us in 7th.

The Spartans Go For More Glory...

Here we are, the final month of a glorious season for my Blyth Spartans. We already had the Premier League title and the Carling Cup in the bag but since we liked the sweet taste of success we thought that it wouldn’t hurt to go for the FA Cup and the Champions League too We started off with an entertaining home game against Liverpool, my boys had fun out there and Nicao produced another wonderful [Read more]

Blyth Spartans December 2015

Still unbeaten in the Premier League at the end of November, who would have imagined such a performance from a small club like my Blyth Spartans… We also had good displays in the Carling Cup, we were through to the quarter final but we beat only Championship sides in the first two rounds. In the quarter final we had a much more difficult opponent, the surprising 2nd placed team in the Premier League, Sunderland. I [Read more]

The Blyth Spartans Go For More Trophies

So, my eighth season at the helm of the Blyth Spartans begins… After tying to make my team better in pre season I was quite confident that we could achieve something nice this season too. And there was silverware on the table right from the start, the Community Shield! We had to face Tottenham, the team that won the FA Cup last season. It was an even game but ultimately two of my new signings [Read more]

The Spartans Prepare For The Champions League

Hello my friends, here we go again… My Blyth Spartans had to wake up after the endless parties after bringing home two unexpected triumphs, the Premier League title and the Europa League. We were no longer an anonymous club somewhere in Northumberland, we were a well respected and feared team. I knew that I had to consolidate our position and maybe go for another title. I expected a nice transfer budget, around 50 million euro, [Read more]
