Hello dear friends, you are welcome to witness Dorchester‘s debut in the Championship! I was quite curious to see my new signings in action but not all of them at once since I brought in no less than 16 players during pre-season! I was sure that the team was going to need some time to gel but I was looking forward to the tough matches ahead. We were going to start with a very difficult [Read more]
Hello folks, welcome to my fifth season with Dorchester Town! As you know our fourth season ended in glory with us winning the League One title and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. Now we had to be prepared for the Championship, a much tougher league with far better teams than League One. Let’s see how our summer went… The board didn’t show too much ambition this time either, they wanted me to battle to avoid relegation [Read more]
Authors note: I usually post before 6.00am EST so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors as sometimes; a) I can’t find my glasses or b) I just haven’t had any coffee yet. Hello everyone and thanks for continuing to read. Hello everyone and welcome to the next installment. Following the trip to Elland Road we were subject to a two week layoff due to International fixtures and just before our first game in September my favoured left back Geoffrey Adjet announced he couldn’t settle in Wiltshire. Welcome readers to the new home of Swindon Town: Pride of Wiltshire. Firstly, I’d like to say thanks to Johnny for being so gracious in allowing me to post directly to his site. I feel very honored especially as I’m somewhat of a newcomer to the blogging world. I’d also like to say thanks to everyone who has posted comments on my “Blogger” page which have all been very positive and encouraging. Although I fear my “gaming skills” will be unable to match those of Johnny’s remarkable performances I do hope that my story will make up for any on the field disappointments. So onto the next chapter of Swindon and thanks for your continuing support.
Here we go dear friends, the final episode of the Championship season is finally here! It has been a long difficult journey but we were close to achieving something that seemed impossible at the start of the season: the Championship title. We only needed three wins out of the last five games, we had to play well and get those nine points!
Hello folks, the Notts County journey towards the Premier League continues with a new episode, probably the most important so far. We were back on track after a series of good results in February, we just had to keep winning in March to get closer to our promotion dream. We had some tough games to play though, I wasn’t expecting an easy run.
