Chester Season 2010-2011 The Conclusion

After the first half of the Coca-Cola Championship season my Chester team was clear of the relegation places, we were lying in 16th place. The bad thing was that we were almost 1.5 million euro in debt. There was some hope of earning some cash in the FA Cup, our first game was in 3rd round at home against Nottingham Forest. We managed to beat them and to get around 150 K from ticket sales [Read more]

Chester Season 2010-2011 Part One

The team, the fans and the board were very happy but very nervous too: Chester City was beginning the Coca-Cola Championship season hoping to avoid relegation but fearing that it couldn’t do more than one of the last three places in the table. FC Basel? You might wonder why… I’m not Swiss, I’m not an FC Basel fan, I never played the Swiss league in Football Manager. Well, there’s only one reason. When I started my Chester City career I signed one player from FC Basel, and he still is my star player today, on his third season with Chester. His name is Federico Almerares, he is Argentinian with Italian passport, my star striker and I bought him [Read more]

Chester 2010-2011 Pre Season

After two miraculous promotions, first from League Two and then from League One Chester City were preparing for a difficult season in Coca-Cola Championship. We had virtually no transfer money this time too, but the board allowed me to have more scouts and coaches, and that was quite good. I managed to get 7 stars in every training category except set pieces and send my scouts all over Europe, from Portugal to Russia. Despite the [Read more]

Chester Season 2009-2010 The Conclusion

Hello folks! I wasn’t able to write the last part of my Chester 2009-2010 story although I desperately wanted to. The reason is that I was a little bit sick, I somehow managed to get chickenpox That’s very weird because I had it in my childhood, so I wasn’t supposed to catch it again. anyway, here I am, it’s been itching like hell and I also had a tremendous fever. Things are better now but [Read more]
