FM 2014 Rodrigo Gomez history

This FM 2014 player profile of Rodrigo Gomez shows one of the best cheap wingers in the game. Bags of potential mean this kid would set any league alight. He’s certainly taken the Bundesliga by storm from 2020 on with Dortmund. Looking at that future profile just shows how amazing this kid could be, technically gifted, a mint free-kick, lightening fast and great flair mixed with one of the highest attributes in ‘decisions’ I’ve seen to date. Oh and he’ll work his ass off for the team.

Its these very rare mental stats that tip him over the edge for me. That mixed with an unbelievable asking price of £3.5 million and the fact I think he can develop beyond the screenshots above. Just beware he may not get a work permit during the first season, only effecting those in England.

I can’t help but notice that a lot of players seem to receive extensive training on free kicks, is this something that the AI tend to impose on all players on FM14?

They certainly do develop great free kick taking. Don’t know if this is down to the AI though, I think its more likely down to how they develop naturally, could be a bug.

That’s not rodrigo «droopy» gomez. It’s daniel villalva

Finally, a player who can play as a defensive winger! That’s a pretty rare «breed» of players.

As mentioned in other profiles, every single player has a downside, its just whether their good points out way the bad points.

I cant get him a work permit… very annoying as he would fit my team perfectly…

Yeah I mentioned that in the profile, its a real shame to miss out as an English club but he should get one later on in the game.

I’m wondering, could this boy become a great complete wingback if trained and tutored right? Thinking about rotating between Clyne and him on the right side.

I guess he could but I don’t ever see that position getting the best out of him.

Hi, some great profiles this year was just wondering if you guys could help me out do you know of any good players who are attacking midfielders with partial (even ever so slightly) position of right wingback/ right back. I wanted to develop a player like otavio of last year but can’t find a right back to do this with looked at the above but he wouldn’t work any ideas?

I don’t know any TBH…think you’d be far better off having a right back and AM that can do one or the other very well.

Signed him from Boca on a free in my 4th season with Deportivo. Best winger in the game. 7.43 season average rating. Madrid bidding over 30 million for him.
I find that in FM14, many top players are available for free before they even peak.
I got Yann M’vila, Gaston gil romero, Lucas Evangelista, Kurt Zouma, Sergi Roberto, Tonny Trindade de Vilhena all on free transfers in the 3rd and 4th season. And I certainly could have signed more if I had started with a more reputable club.

Yes the free transfers were a bit weird, whether the new patch has sorted that I am not sure.

Is he the best RW/RIF in the game then? I can’t decided between him, Gerard D, Markovic, Allione and Ahmed Musa.

He’s also very handy for the fact he can play in most roles on that wing, which is rare.

Tried signing him for my dynamo team, unfortunately he doesn’t want to move. But looks like a quality player

Thats a shame, he’s been immense for my Wigan team, definitely worth watching as I couldn’t get a work permit for the first two years of trying but was well worth the patience and persistence.

Got him for Barca team in season 1. However with the non-EU player quota, I’ll loan him/ keep him in the reserve side and after another season, hopefully he should be pushing Sanchez and Pedro for the RW/RIF position. Allione is another RW/RIF gem but I don’t have any space for him in my team with Gerard D back from his PL loan spell.

I think that they get citizenship after three years anyway so a few seasons on loan and it won’t be a problem fingers crossed…then again I’m basing that on last year so could have changed.

Unless I’m mistaken, I think its around 750 days or something in Spain, so thats 2 seasons plus a few more days after that.

Please make a profile for mohamed salah. After the 14.3 update he is much better

He may get a profile at some point, but due to just joining Chelsea he’s very hard to sign so other profiles take priority.

Unbelievable. Got him on a free for Spurs in 2016. Used him as a b2b midfielder/winger role, Angel Di Maria style. Gets crosses in, bags some goals, and tracks back in midfield. He might even displace Lucas Romero in the starting line-up.
