This FM 2014 player profile of Jannick Vestergaard shows a true old fashioned central defender, strong, tall and good at putting a foot in. The key concern is that acceleration and agility, leaving him weak to a high line if fast forwards can get on his shoulder before accelerating beyond. However, with great positioning and anticipation those weakness’ should be dulled down if Jannick is used correctly. In my future save he certainly performed at every level, from Bundesliga to the EPL and Europe with Tottenham. Not bad for £8.5 million.
