Hey guys, well I hope you’re all recovered from the seasons festivities and had a wonderful time. Today I want give you all a small update on the progress made by Football Manager Stories latest extensions, the Scouting Network. As many of you know I am charged with the management of that site and have been hard at work over the last few months making sure we offer the best FM 2012 player lists available on the net. Sure they may not YET be the biggest but the quality and depth can be matched by none in my opinion. We’ll start by outlining the four main posts and lists.
- Football Manager 2012 ultimate list — This contains every single player that we have profiled. As with all the lists you can order it by any category, search for specific players, see their actual asking price and my personal 5 star rating. This list contains 90 players and counting.
- Football Manager 2012 best wonderkids — Any player 23 years and younger are in here, but only the top talent can make the grade. The beauty of this is by clicking on any name you can see how the player develops through my future profile screenshots. This list contains 78 players and counting.
- Football Manager 2012 best cheap players — The smallest list but by no means the worst. You will find any top quality player that is available to purchase at less than £5.5 million. You could make an outstanding side for peanuts using this one. The list contains 40 players and counting.
- Football Manager 2012 best cheap wonderkid XI — Here I have displayed how you can build a team of world beaters for less than £39 million. This best XI would last at least 10 years.
As you can see I’ve been rather busy, writing no fewer than 90 profiles, which averages out at around 1.25 profiles per day since FM 2012’s release. At the moment I am managing around one profile every other day and think the scouting network will remain this active for the foreseeable future.
New feature — subscribe to the FMS Scouting Network!!!
With so many profiles been churned out I decided it was time to make keeping up with these easier for you, the readers. So you can now subscribe to the scouting network via email. It’s very simple, just enter your email address below and press subscribe, then confirm your request by clicking the link sent to you via email…it is that simple. If I have written a new profile you will be emailed the post the next morning. It’s a great way to keep on top of these profiles to make sure you don’t miss out on any bargains.
I am very passionate about the Scouting Network, I have poured a lot of time into this extension and I plan on maintaining that commitment. The rise in readership this extension has received is simply astounding and Google seem to love our tips too. Subscribed, I think that you should add a better way to suggest players…
I could recommend looking into some danish talents: Christian Eriksen, Nicolai Boilensen, Viktor Fischer and perhaps Lucas Andersen, AAB.

Unfortunately there is no perfect answer there. The only other way to take suggestions is via a form, but then I can’t reply to tell people why I can or can’t do the suggestions. While I do see where you’re coming from it seems pretty simple to make a comment and anything else would feel like over complicating things.
As for the players mentioned, I am already doing Eriksen, Fischer doesn’t develop too well on my game and the other two I can’t see I’m afraid. Thanks for the recommendations.

If you haven’t done them you might want to take a look at Miguel Medina, Bryan Rabello and the majority of the Sporting CP youth team as well as Rubio, Carrillo and Arias.

By the way, how do you do the SEO stuff in the scouting network? Been trying to work that out for a profile on Nampalys Mendy (shame he isn’t as good as he was in FM2011, but he is labelled the next Rio Mavuba in my save so he should be okay, will never be as good as M’Vila though…..)

Thanks mate and thank you for your profiles too. As for the SEO stuff I’d leave it, doesn’t really make a big difference unless you’re doing lists. I do it all the time out of habit.
