This guide was created for the demand of players seeking a challange. First for the game FM 2012 but has been updated for FM 2013 unless noted under the challange. Remember that this is only for ideas. You can change them in anyway you want.

Pentagon/Hexagon Challange

The original variant was that you coach a team in every continent to continental glory.

Pentagon Challange

You have to win all the following at least once.

  • Europe (Europa Champions League)
  • Asia (Asia Champions League)
  • Africa (African Champions League)
  • North America (North American
  • Champions League)
  • South America (Copa Libertadores)

Note: Great creativity here for creating new names for the competitions.

Hexagon

For the hexagon variant you add New Zealand as a playable league. Then you win the O-League. OFC Champions League or Oceania Champions League (different names for the same competition).

  • Oceania (OFC Champions League)

Pentagon/Hexagon for National Teams

  • Europe (Euro Cup)
  • Asia (Asian Cup)
  • Africa (African Nations Cup)
  • North America (Gold Cup)
  • South America (Copa America)
  • Oceania (OCE Nations Cup)

Olympic/World Cup Pentagon/Hexagon

Take one national team from each continent to the World Cup/Olymics.

Rule: You must also do the qualifying part before the competition. So just be hired before the Olympics does not count.

Note: For the World Cup you have to manage the Senior Team. For the Olympics you need to manage the U23/U21 team.

Iron Journeyman

This is the one I am currently on. You win every throphy there is on the game for teams. The league title and all the cups. The continetal titles. And also the National Teams Cups.

Goal:

  • Win every league title.
  • Win every league cup including Super Cups (Exception is reginal cups where you only need to win one).
  • Pentagon/Hexagon challange and win every continental cups and international cups.
  • The same for national teams to win the continetal and international cups.
  • Begin from the bottom with the five leagues with lowest reputation choosen (fewer can be choosen).
  • Sunday League reputation.

Extra goals:

Win Manager of the Year in every country.

Note: I recommend adding Saudi Arabia (or other arabian team), Jamaica, Costa Rica, a Pacific League and New Zealand to collect as many throphies as possible. All except New Zealand is for National Team tournaments only.

Credit: As far as I know me.

Lower League Management (LLM)

Take a team from the lowest division in a country and make them champions. Even Continental glory.

  • England - Blue Squere Premier South/North (6th tier)
  • Italy - Serie C2 (4th tier)
  • Spain - Segunda Division B (3rd tier)
  • France - French National (3rd tier)
  • Germany - Third Division (3rd tier)

Why not all five. Beginning in Germany or France. Pentagon variant i also possible.

The World Hero Challange

The goal is to become Hero in the following countries. To get the achievments you have to start in the
lowest league in the following countries. And winning all leagues and cups in the country.

  • Brazil
  • England
  • France
  • Italy
  • Scotland
  • Spain

Rules:

  • Load the league(s) you want to start with.
  • Try to get a job in the lowest league.
  • Try to get promotion to the highest league and win the championship there.
  • Do not quit the job yourself before you win the championship.
  • After you are champion start in the next country until you have done them all.
  • The last part of the challenge is to win the World Club Championshiop with the club you are at that moment. (Extra)

League Reputation Challange

While using a lower reputation league like Wales or Ireland. Win the Champions League or Europa League. This is only possible if you raise the leagues reputation so you can attract the right players.

National Team on the Rise

The senario is that you take a team from a smaller country wich team has never won a bigger trophy or at least have not won the World Cup. As an example. San Marino is a team in the lower leagues of Italy. You take control of them and their National Team and Club. And make them successful.

Example Teams:

  • San Marino In tha Italian Serie C1 with the San Marino national team.
  • Swansea, Wrexham, Cardiff, Newport County, Calwyn Bay who plays in England with Welsh national team.
  • FC Vaduz in Switzerland and Lichtensteins National Team.

San Marino is a really tough challange. Wales with the likes of Swansea is somewhat easier. This is not restricted to teams in other countries of origin than where they play. Playing with a Team in the MLS and winning with Canada or USA is another possibility.

  • In order to progess to the next coutry, You must win the top Domestic League and every Domestic cup (European Comps not needed).
  • Past experience set to Automatic.
  • When moving to a new country, you must apply for jobs.
  • When you move you can accept a job at any club in that country.

Back to the Top Flight Challange

You bring back a former top-flight to the top flight again and win every available cup and league. I would have narrowed the list down to the teams that spent 5-10 years in the top flight. But any former top-flight team counts. Updated for FM 2013.

Goals?

The goal can be:

  • To use only home-grown/same nation players in the Champions League Final.
  • To make your squad home-grown/same nation and win the domestic double/treble.

Pentagon Player Challange

In the player verison your team must consist of one player from each continent. Preferrably your Line-up or First team. Depending of difficulty.

U23-Challange

Like the Olympics where you can only have 3 non U23-players in the squad.

Youth Academy Challange

Use only players that comes from your Youth Academy and try to win the bigger trophies.

Based on Darrens Youth to Gold System.

Feel free to post if you find more special teams with restrictions or lay in a league that is not their country of origin. Or any more corrections.

Darren's Ultimate European Challenge is where you have to win the title in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Seria A, La Liga and Bundesliga. Also the domestic cup in each of these countries plus 2 champions leagues with 2 of the teams, you have to start unemployed with an International Football reputation.

My story is a good challenge, not sure many people have heard of it.

USSR challenge - as no team has won the CL from a country in the former USSR that is the goal. Starting with Sunday League Rep and unemployed.

The leagues that are available are Belarus, Ukraine and Russia, although I have used some downloads for more leagues such as Lithuania where I started.

You can make the challenge harder by only using USSR players or even harder, players from the national you are currently in, and side tasks include winning an international tournament with a former USSR country!!!

I didn't come up with this but it's something someone I know is trying to do. They're managing Hearts and they're only signing players from places that used to be British colonies. e.g. China, India, Hong Kong, America and Australia. A British Colonial Challenge if you like!

Is there any special reason for Hearts to be the team?

I have added a special version of the challange you mentioned with variations of it for France and Portugal.

No there isn't, just the team he supports. only problem could be the work permits as it seems you may need a lot!

Under former British colonies in the colonial challenge, you missed out Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, who were British colonies in the past along with South Africa. Also, China was never a British colony :)
