Hi, welcome to my FM 2014 story! :D

As I usually do, I will start managing a team from the lowest league and try to take it all the way to the top.
For this save my team will be Altrincham, a semi professional club near Manchester that plays in the Skrill north league. The media prediction is that we are going to finish first at the end of the season. We have a stadium for 6085 assistants and a wage/transfer budget of 425K US dollars per year. The board expect me to win the league by the end of the season.

The tactic I will use is a classic 4-4-2 that I already tested in one previous save with good results. I want my team to play a fluid-short-narrow style, and I will change the mentality according to the opposition and the match score.

So that´s it, see you in the next chapter of this story! ;)

Hi, welcome to a new chapter of my FM 2014 story managing Altrincham from the Skrill North  to the top!

I was appointed as manager of the Robins and I told the board I could win the league and achieve promotion in the first season. The board gave me 425 k American Dollars for a year´s wage budget and transfers.

gvxh.png

Transfers:

I released 27 fringe and not good enough players players.

t8yq.png

I signed 21 players on free transfers;)

5z6k.png

The Cups:

We had an acceptable run in the cups, nothing amazing but ok. We reached the 3rd qualifying round in the FA cup and the 1st round in the FA trophy.

The League:

And yes!, we won the league with 82 points, 5 points ahead the 2nd placed Solihull Moors. But to be honest, though we achieved our pre-season expectations I was not happy at all with the team and players performance. I don´t know if it was because the tactic was not good enough or because I signed too many players.........

Player Ratings:

Best Player:

The star of the team was Damien Reeves a striker who played in the advanced forward role on attack duty. His rating was 7.44 scoring 32 goals in 47 matches.

Finances:

The finances looked ok by the end of the season with 62.000 American Dollars in the bank.

That´s it, next chapter will be showing Altrincham playing in the Skrill Premier league! :D

Damien Reeves looks really really good, he could be back-up for an average Prem team, so you're lucky to have him on board. Congrats on the league win :)
