:D If you’re like me, you don’t like hearing your own voice.

        That’s right, I really don’t :)

It was nice doing the interview but hearing my own voice still seems a bit weird to me, even though I’ve heard it hundreds of times until now on various recordings :) But that doesn’t mean I haven’t enjoyed taking part in this episode.

Good to hear Johnny, and how it all started.

I believe I know the blog which was not named, as it annoys me too when a comment is just ignored, especially if you’ve asked a question. I fully believe in always answering questions and giving help when it’s asked for. Any criticisms should always be constructive, otherwise they’re a waste of key-presses. ;) If my career had taken a slightly different turn, I could have ended up as a University lecturer, so I guess it just feels natural to me, and why this site is such a friendly place to be.

Another entertaining listen. BTW, Fabio is a season long loan to Q.P.R. one which I was a bit surprised about with the defensive injury problems United have seen over the last couple of seasons. So Fergie hasn’t completely lost it, and sold him for free. ;)

I think many of us can assume the blog mentioned and I’m sure many will agree with the opinion expressed. Thanks for confirming the Fabio loan, I thought it was too bizarre for Fergie too sell him.

I loved your voice Johnny!! In all honesty you sounded nothing like I imagined but I always like someone who speaks with that broken English, I really like it! ;)

LoL, anyways…..thanks for answering my question, in truth Darren am not really pro or anti FFP just wonder what impact you would have thought it would have on football in general.

I know your right though, it will be just one big loophole so why bring it in? I guess time will tell on its impact if it has any or no effect.

I liked both your thoughts on 6+5 rule thing have never heard of that before but I do like the idea behind it but I guess its something we will never see.

Well thanks a lot Ana, I hope my English is not too broken though, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to understand what I’m saying LOL

Great stuff again guys, great listen and thanks for answering my questions. Johnny I always wanted to hear your voice sounds so cool ! My question for the next episode is when did you first start playing fm or cm and how did you get into it?

Thanks mate. I can answer right away and let Jake and Darren do it in the next podcast: I started with CM 97-98 but I have also played the old Football Manager on Spectrum.

Great interview Johnny, nothing wrong with you voice whatsoever but understand what you mean about hearing your own voice. I hate listening to my phones voicemail message!

What’s the name of the song at the start of the podcast?

TBH I’m not sure, Jake picked it but he’s on holiday now…its a Coldplay song I think.

Again everything was picture perfect, and I really enjoyed the interview, worth waiting for definetly. It amazes me how Adrian Chiles is still in a job when you or Jake could so easily replace him :).
My first question is about whether either of you have plans for a story for FM13.
And my second question is what is your general opinions of AVB. Maniac or Master?

    • Darren Smith

      9 сентября, 2012 at 09:42

Thanks mate, me and Jake are like a taller version of Ant and Dec lol :) We will certainly get around to your questions in the next episode.

Oh yeah Darren how did your triathlon go?

        • Darren Smith

          9 сентября, 2012 at 11:11

Well it was my first one so finishing it without stopping was an achievement, but as I approached the finish line my mate came steaming up behind me so we had a sprint finish. That almost made me sick :) We crossed the line together and I was in the bottom 1/4 time wise but around 40 places above last which was OK. I’ve taken up running since to try and prepare for next year, did 6 miles yesterday but my knee is like a balloon now ;)

Loved it! It was even better than normal (which is hard to do) with Johnny doing the interview!
    I have two questions:
1: I am in a relegation battle on my benfield save at the moment, have any of you ever been relegated on fm?
2: (for Darren) With being a newcastle fan myself, realisticly where do you think we will finish this season and how far do you think we can progress to in the europa league?
    Thanks, another really good podcast

Thanks Dan, it was an extra special Podcast this time…we’ll certainly answer your questions next episode.

Hi Darren, can you enlighten me (in the next podcast) how you plan your squad growth, i.e. buy new players. Do you just see a nice regen and say, ooh, he looks good and cheap, I’ll have him, or do you plan your replacements and keep a very tight squad, with no need for loaning players out or leaving them in youth or reserves for a while?

    • Darren Smith

      22 сентября, 2012 at 21:59

Of course I’ll address your question Nick, queries like that are what the Podcast is for…its tough to answer some questions in the written word and that is certainly one of them, hopefully I can elaborate more when myself and Jake get together for the next recording.
