First FM 2013 Podcast Plus New Screen Shots

Here we go again, it’s Football Manager 2013 news time again! Miles Jacobson has just released the first episode of his Football Manager 2013 podcast, in which he gave away a few more details about the new game. In addition to that we also have some brand new screen shots to show you, so find yourself a comfortable seat and enjoy!

First, the podcast. Miles and his guests (QPR and Spurs legend Clive Wilson and the acclaimed football writer Jonathan Wilson) discussed real football with some very interesting insights but he also revealed a few new Football Manager 2013 features:

  • revamped international management, including reactions from players that are cut out from the preliminary squads for final tournaments.
  • pop-up calendar bar
  • African Nations Rankings for continental club competitions
  • Injury Crisis Challenge — you can start as any top flight club in any country in the game, at the halfway mark of the season, you have a lot of injured players in your squad and you have to finish fourth.
Add those to the new features that were announced yesterday and to the almost 900 new features and improvements that we still don’t know about :)

If you want to listen to the podcast just click on the image below, you’ll be busy for around an hour :)

And now, all the FM 2013 screen shots that we could get a hold of (that’s 53 images, arranged according to the four game modes in FM 2013):

Wow! Two podcasts in one day!? And an England match? I’m too spoilt :). It’ll be very interesting to hear what they’ve got to say

To be Classic or not to be Classic…. that is the question. Colour schemes look great!

I saved one of Miles’ phrases about the new game for you Kevin, here goes: «It’s more visually appealing and the font is larger because there’s less information that we have to cram onto the screens. So: bigger, brighter, bolder and better for older people like me who’ve needed to start wearing glasses in the last couple of years.» :)

        Ha!
There we go…love it. Now I won’t have to go hunting for my glasses every time. Finally a game for the over 50″s!!

The colour scheme is awful, I hate the grass background, makes it look like a game from 10 years ago and it’s too bright. Last years interface was just fine, don’t see why they changed it!!

There will surely be loads of skins to choose from so I don’t see this as a big problem. If you don’t like the grass background for instance I’m sure there will be ways to change it, so it’s not a big deal at all.

Damn, I can’t wait no more for this game! It looks more simple than FM 2012, and the 3D matches improved much better there.

I guess we don’t have to wait too long now, maybe around a month or so, two at most.

The game will probably cost around 50 euro, that’s the almost standard price for new titles.

If you pre-order now, the price should be USD39.99 if i am not wrong.

The price on the SEGA website is 49.99 euro: http://eu.download-store.sega.com/shop/football-manager-2013

I doubt that any distributor will sell it below that price, at least during the first month. I’ll try to get a good deal on our Games Store, will let you know as soon as I have a price.
