And The Winner Is…

Hello folks, the World Cup is over and so is our contest. Spain have won the trophy for the first time in their history while the first contest of this website’s history was won by… Chris @ Chester! It’s quite a coincidence since this blog started with a Football Manager 2009 story about… Chester City! No less than 501 posts were published since then, this is the 502nd post in which we can proudly announce that our contest winner will get a copy of Football Manager 2011! When the game will be released I will buy a copy for me, as usual, and another one that will be sent to Chris.

Let’s have a look at the final rankings but not before thanking all of you for taking part. Keeping track of all the points and scores was a bit of work for me but I am very happy that you enjoyed the contest.

I hope I didn’t make any mistakes in calculating your points but if I did please let me know. The contest has been great fun for me too and I am pleased that many of you joined the fun just for the beauty of it and not for the prize. Before wrapping up the post I want to announce that I am thinking about holding such contests on a regular basis even for other competitions like the Premier League or Champions League. I still have to figure out a way to make it work but I promise that I will do my best. Until then, congratulations and big thanks to all of you! And last but not least, enjoy Football Manager 2010!

Well done for winning Chris@Chester and it was a really well-thought out contest. A lot of planning must have gone into it.
Thought I might win but overtaken in the semi-finals!

Thanks everybody. It was really close through the knockout games it could have been anybodys. I would definatly like totals part in a contest for the champions league or the prem. We will just have to see what you can come up with Johnny.
