Every competition has to have some prizes, right? Well, each “goal of the month” winner will get a football related book from me. The January winner will get a copy of “Inverting The Pyramid: The History of Football Tactics” by Jonathan Wilson, a great book that will really improve your tactical knowledge and skills.
The competition will go on until there will be an official announcement on the release date for Football Manager 2012! Then the monthly competition will stop but we’ll have a kind of a play-off between all the monthly winners: all the best goals from each month will be entered into another poll and the winner will get a copy of FM 2012!
Just to kick off the competition, here’s one of the best goals I’ve seen so far in my Vauxhall game:

This is a brilliant idea. Just have to teach the boys how to score the special goals now. If you did a competition for the scrappiest tap ins I would win hands down. Well done Johnny

Doesn’t matter anyway, Owen Hargreaves just scored a screamer. It won’t let me upload though. Did I have to link my YouTube account when I created my profile?
You can link your YouTube account before uploading, go to your profile in the game and there should be a “Social Networks” tab somewhere and you can add your YouTube account there. Then you’ll be able to upload.
Hi Johnny, does the goal have to be in a competitive game or do they count if they were scored in a friendly?
It doesn’t matter, friendly goals are welcome as well.

I didn’t think about it but I guess the fair thing would be to allow just one entry per month for each user. You can submit another goal in February and then another one in March and so on.

OK Ana, no problem. The goals can be submitted until January 15th and then I’ll put them together in a post here and maybe on the forum as well. But probably the voting will be done exclusively on the main site.

geez, I have so many wonderful and sometimes funny goals. Seems like playing in lower leagues produces more quality goals than playing in higher leagues. Strange
