The contest will work more or less just like the World Cup one but there are a few differences. The first and most obvious is that we’ll have Premier League games (all of them!) instead of World Cup matches. Then there is the most important difference, the way you will submit your predictions. I decided to move forward from the rather rudimentary method employed during the World Cup so I bought a plugin that will make it a lot easier to play and calculate the points.
How To Play
The only requirement is that you have an account on the website. If you have one you have to log in and then submit your predictions, if you don’t have an account you can easily register for free in just a few minutes.
After logging in you have to visit the Predictions Contest page and just enter the scores for every match. You have to click on “Save” after entering the scores for each match day and your predictions will be submitted.
And that’s about it, then you’ll need some good luck to score points in the contest
The Points
Here is how the points will be allocated:
4 points for correct score – exact match (for example predict 3-0 and the result is 3-0 you will be awarded 4 points)
1 point – wrong score but predicted the winner (for example predict 1-0 and the result is 2-0 you will be awarded 1 points) The same applies for a draw (predict 2-2 and the result is 1-1 you will be awarded 1 points)
These points are NOT cumulative, for example if you predict 2-2 and the result is 2-2, you gain 4 points, NOT 5 points.
The Prizes
The winner of the World Cup contest, Chris @ Chester, will get a copy of Football Manager 2011 as soon as the game will be released. The winner of the new contest will get a copy of… Football Manager 2012 since I guess all of you would have bought FM 2011 by then. However, if the winner wants it he (or she) will get a copy of FM 2011 instead of FM 2012. I will also give prizes to the second and third placed but I can’t really tell you too much about those prizes now because I haven’t decided what to give yet. I would welcome any suggestions though
That’s about it, I hope you will enjoy the new contest! Good luck everybody!

Thanks Zheljo, have fun and good luck!
Johnny
This plugin is really cool
It is pretty good, the only one that was suitable for such a contest. I surely don’t regret buying it.
Hey mate, thanks for spending on the plugin to organize another contest for us. It is a long contest but it will surely be fun.
This sounds fantastic! I’ve always fancied myself as a pundit with Lineker, Shearer and Hansen on Match of the Day and it should be an enjoyable competition!
I’m looking forward to commenting on the games together, there fun will be even bigger with some nice sparkling debates over here
sounds good johnny, should be a lot of fun
Thanks Chris, good luck with this one too
You always seem to be centurys ahead of everyone else with these wonderful competitions! All we can continue to do is praise you mate
If they were only more Johnny Karps in this world
Great stuff!
Thanks for the kind words Sears. But don’t praise me too much, I could get carried away and then get complacent and then all sorts of bad things could happen
Hi Johnny, the idea of another contest is really good, I’m sure we’ll all have fun playing in it. To everyone who plays, good luck!
Alright. I think it worked out fine for me aswell.
This is looking awesome.
