I have to say that the match engine experience in Football Manager 2010 is very good, much better than in the previous version. But still, a touch of more realism could always help. That’s why I decided to install this ads pack in my game, here is how it looks:

ads pack

The pack was created by Frank Hovis and it includes realistic and specific ad boards for a few European leagues (England has all the leagues covered) and for the major competitions like the Europa League and the Champions League.

How to install

First you have to download the two .zip files that I uploaded:

- ads.zip

- ads2.zip

After you download those extract ads.zip to My DocumentsSports InteractiveFootball Manager 2010 and ads2.zip to My DocumentsSports InteractiveFootball Manager 2010graphics (if there is no “graphics” folder create one yourselves). After extracting please rename the “ads2″ folder to “ads”.

In your Football Manager 2010 game preferences un-tick “Skin Cache” and tick “Always Reload Skin on Confirm”. Then click “confirm” and the ad boards should show in all their splendor.

Cheers mate, managed to download and unzip all ok but (always a but) after copying the ads folder to the FM2010 dir and the ads2 (renamed to ads) to the graphics folder I only get a default “Sports Interactive” ad boards during the game all round the pitch. Dont suppose you have come across this have you?
Have done the reload skin thing as added the facepack which works fine.

aint working ive downloaded the files i extracted the ads folder to my documents sports interactive football manager then i extracted the ad2 folder to the graphics folder

then i went to preferences and unticed skin cache and ticked reload skin and renamed ads2 as ads

        wat am i doign wrong

        • Johnny Karp says:

Greg, it should work if you did all those things. You could try moving the “ads2″ thing to graphics/pictures instead of graphics, maybe that will work.

  14. Greg says:
