Football Manager Awards 2013

Cristiano Ronaldo won the World Footballer of the Year Award although his Manchester United finished 3rd in the Premier League and didn’t win any European competition. His teammate Carlos Tevez finished in 3rd place while Vagner Love took the second spot, probably because his Manchester City went to win the Europa League in 2013.
The Brazilian stiker won the World Player of the Year award though, with Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo behind him.
The Team of the Year was dominated by the Spanish clubs, with 5 of the best eleven players. A couple of Italians made it into the team, defender Giorgio Chiellini and midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
There you go, enjoy football and the Blyth Spartans story, another episode coming up tomorrow! By the way Ahmed, I enjoyed Burnley‘s 1-0 upset over Manchester United the other night, great stuff

Your blyth players might not be on there, but u deserve to win an award mate. Best fm player i’ve seen to get a Blue square team to the Premier League.
Thanks Michael. I don’t want awards for myself but seeing one of my players up there in the spotlight would be very pleasing.
oh and who didnt enjoy man utd lose to Burnley. Good on burnley
I reckon you’ll do well with Blyth. A european birth for em would be magnificent. I will be impressed if Cristiano Ronaldo gets inticed over to your side, well, if you have better finances.
What’s the difference between the World Footballer of the Year award and World Player of the Year award, Johnny ? Is the Footballer one the Ballon D’oR ?
The Ballon d’Or is chosen by a bunch of journalists from all over the world. World Player of The Year is given by FIFA according to the votes made by the national team managers from all over the world. I’m not very sure about which one is which anyway, one of the two is the Ballon d’Or
I’ve investigated the situation and it’s like this:
- World Footballer of the Year in Fm 2009 is the FIFA World Player of the Year Award.
- World Player of the Year in FM 2009 is the Ballon d’Or.
I’ll try to change the names in my FM database…
