And since I turned off rolling autosave because of lack of disk space I found myself in quite a difficult situation, with one and only saved game file. I reinstalled the game but the same error occurred. Now I have only one chance left to continue the Chester game. It might not work but maybe it’s worth a try. If any of you could try to load my saved game into your Football Manager 2009 and than save it to a different file it might work. If any of you want to try helping me you can download the file and give it a go. Or if you have any other suggestions I’d be happy to try them. Thanks a lot.

could you download it on a nonsteam programand then load it on there save it again on a diffrent game and then load that one on steam i dont know if it woks but you could try it
I already tried that, I installed a non-steam copy but the result was the same. I guess there’s little hope of fixing this…
i will be dissapointed if you have to start again i will look for a soulition that might work and tell you later
Thanks for your help Eddie. I’m very disappointed too but I’m beginning to get over it, I’m already thinking about which team to chose for a new game. Anyway, thanks again for your help and I’m hoping that you’ll find a solution for me.

have you tried loading it on a diffrent day to when you lost the save that could be the problem
I’ve tried to load it every single day since May the 31st, I even started a new game and then tried to load it, unfortunately I got the same result
have you tried loading it again on non steam apparently that works
I did try that and it doesn’t work.
there is a corruption in your computer to stop it in the future auto save your game every week on the game
i dont think there is a soultion in future save it on two save games but i cant find a soulition
Yea, I don’t think there’s a solution for the problem. Thanks for your support Eddie! I’ll start a new game, no problem. And I’ll turn on rolling autosave to multiple files, definitely
