Since you seem to have enjoyed the downloads I offered you so far I figured one more would be welcome. This time it’s a match graphics tweak, a patch that modifies the ad boards that you see on the sides of your pitch in Football Manager 2009, depending on the league you are playing in.

The patch is made by Frank Hovis and it has realistic ad boards for the following competitions:

-Champions League

-Uefa Cup

-England (all leagues and cups)

-Scotland (all leagues and cups)

-Italy (Serie A, Serie B and Cup)

-Spain (Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante and Cup)

-France (Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and both Cups)

-Portugal (Liga Sagres, Liga Vitalis and both Cups).  All other leagues should default to a set of global brand boards.

I’m going to give you a screenshot I took from one of my Coca-Cola Championship games, I think it looks pretty good with all the real companies like Coca-Cola, Samsung or Jaguar on the ad boards. It gives a nice feeling to the game.

The pack contains over 280 different adboards and can be downloaded from here.

How to install

Extract the rar file to

My DocumentsSports InteractiveFootball Manager 2009

and select ‘yes to all’ if it asks whether you want to replace any files.

In your game untick the ‘Use Skin Cache’ option in the preferences section. That’s it, enjoy.

  3. where extract to.. si/fm09/???????? graphics?

    • @Jim
Just extract to \My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009 and overwrite the existing files if needed.

  4. I downloaded the file and extracted it to main FM09 file in My Documents. It isnt loading. Im using a downloaded skin if that affects it. I use a lot of downloaded graphics but have never got any ads to work.

Help would be much much appreciated!!

    • Donal, did you try with another skin and it worked? If that’s the case I’d suggest finding a skin that you like and that works with the ad boards pack. I’m using the Dark Horizon skin and it works perfectly.

  5. Hi JohnnyKarp,

    Thanks,

  6. Hi JohnnyKarp,

I did the same thing u did and it still doesnt work im also using the Dark Horizon skin. I need help

    • Jtz, please give me more details about what’s wrong. There are no ad boards appearing in your game or are the “default” ones still there?

  7. um yea the default ones are still apearing

    • If you extracted the files into the correct folder it should work. Maybe you are using another data folder for your game and not the “classic” \My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009
And make sure you unticked the “Use Skin cache” option in the game preferences. You should also tick “Always reload skin on confirm” in the preferences. I don’t know what else to tell you, if all these conditions are met the dam thing should work.

  8. ok now i got them to work
